The WPRA focuses its efforts on those areas of greatest concern to our members, our neighborhoods and our city. In some issues we take a leadership position, while in others we work with other interested groups.

Local Area Crime Statistics

The Pasadena Police Department keeps statistics on various types of crimes within the city. The statistics for our area are shown here

Area Covered by the Crime Statistics

The Pasadena Police Department has divided the city into five Community Service Areas (CSA) and can provide statistics for each CSA. They cannot provide data for any area smaller than the CSA.

The West Pasadena Residents Association area is located within CSA 1. A map of Pasadena is here with CSA 1 in blue.  The area covered by the WPRA is highlighted in black.

Notes on the Statistics

As you look at the statistics, remember that they cover an area larger than the WPRA, and include commercial as well as residential areas. However the statistics are useful in determining the overall crime trends, and also alert us to the most prevalent types of crimes.

Each pair of lines on the graph shows a different type of crime. The points on the line show the number of incidents for the month for each crime for the current year and the prior year.
